Paramotor Trike Training
Want To Become A Paramotor Pilot?
At One Up Adventures we train just 2 Trike students per class. This means Travis, Kyle and ALY will be at your side every step along your path to success.
We pride ourselves on training in intimate groups, in a safe environment, on the best equipment and with no expense spared on our part.
Your complete course will take 9 days to complete and you will finish both confident and safe to fly solo from home.
The foundations of our training are safety, excellence and of course loads of fun!
COURSE DETAILS
One Up Adventures is a USPPA certified school, Travis, ALY and Kyle are all USPPA Certified Instructors, ASC Certified Instructors and Travis is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor. We have trained over 300 beginner paramotor students to successfully fly solo without injury.
If you desire to earn your USPPA PPG2 certification, this course is designed to set you up for success to meet the requirements and earn your certification through us upon completion of your course.
What's Included?
When you train with us, we provide all new state-of-the-art gear for your course. You only need to bring clothing and a willingness to have the time of your life! Because we want your initial focus to be on learning the ins and outs as well as sharing our immense passion for this sport. There is no gear rental fee and we provide always the safest gear adjusted properly for your body size and weight.
We follow the U.S. Powered Paragliding Association PPG1 & PPG2 syllabus, but in addition you receive:
1. A Day One wheel launch Tandem Flight where you will receive dual instruction while taking the controls and flying on the very first day of your course.
2. Numerous dual instruction taxi / kiting sessions as well as solo taxi / kiting work. We begin on our tandem trike and help with the power control and inflations while you start with the basic skills of kiting. We then move you to the solo unit and work with you on the entire launch and kiting procedure all while staying on the ground! (We have a special training unit that has a rear cage protection to protect the prop and wing; as well as a cut off switch that will activate when the motor starts to lift from the ground.)
3. Several motor running "flights" in our hang simulator/ground run up sitting in the trike against a solid standing object/wall.
Here you will go through your entire first solo numerous times, while actually running the motor at full power and while communicating with your instructor through a radio helmet without ever getting more than 2 ft off the ground. You will experience the motor noise, learn throttle control, and understand the feel of what the thrust will do during flight.

Fitness: Can Walk Across the Field Comfortably
Must be able to get in and out of the trike quickly

Training Location
Our Training is typically at the Lake Wales Municipal Airport however, we do travel north during the summer months.
